Can I report a code violation in Duval County anonymously?
Not to the county or a city. Since July 2021, Florida law requires a complainant’s name and address before most code investigations. SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.
What happens if a violation is not fixed?
Unresolved Duval cases go before the Code Enforcement Board. The Municipal Code Enforcement Board is presided over by a Special Magistrate who can set compliance deadlines and fines of up to $250 a day.
