Here’s a handful of recent SNITCH filed eight code complaints in across various Florida jurisdictions. Every one was accepted, investigated, and resolved.

Here’s how each one worked. Florida’s SB 60 has required a complainant’s name on every code complaint since July 1, 2021, and Chapter 119 makes that name a public record. SNITCH files as complainant of record, under our own name and business address, so a public-records request returns SNITCH’s information instead of the client’s.

The Cases

Exposed Wiring and Dumped Mattresses

Two mattresses sat on the front swale next to the sidewalk. Along the garage roofline, 10 to 20 feet of electrical cable ran exposed to Florida weather. Resolved in about 2 days.

Derelict Vehicle, Pompano Beach

An untagged 1960s coupe, rusting through the roof and hood, sat on the gravel swale with weeds growing around its tires. Resolved in about a week.

Graffiti, St. Johns County

Spray paint covered a privacy fence facing a commonly traveled path. Resolved the next day.

Commercial Equipment on a Trailer, Coconut Creek

A trailer loaded with a ladder rack, a water tank, and a locked equipment box was stored in a residential driveway, in plain view of the street. Resolved in about a month

Overgrown Lot, Deerfield Beach

A front yard went to overgrown vegetation, weeds, and bare patches, visible from the street. Resolved in about a week.

What the Record Means, and What It Doesn’t

It means Florida code enforcement offices accept and act on complaints SNITCH files in its own name.  It doesn’t mean every future complaint will end the same way. These cases are a record, not a guarantee. Each city decides what happens to a complaint on its own schedule.

It also doesn’t mean SNITCH fixed anything. The code enforcement offices inspected, and the conditions were corrected. SNITCH got each condition on the record without putting a resident’s name on it.

We file on physical conditions, not people. We decline disputes, feuds, and anything that reads as retaliation.

Next Step

If there’s a real code violation near you and you’d rather your name stay off the complaint, send SNITCH the address, photos, and a short description at joesnitch.com. $399 per filing, follow-up included.
