Clearwater code enforcement complaints
City desk. Not Pinellas County.
Inside city limits, Clearwater code complaints go to the City’s Code Compliance Division in the Planning & Development Department.
SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.
Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Clearwater Code Compliance under our name.
Fear of Retaliation
Clearwater puts it this way: “Per Florida Statute 162.21, any person who submits a code violation report must provide his or her name and address.” File it yourself and that record is public under Chapter 119.
Who Handles It
Inside Clearwater: Clearwater Code Compliance. Unincorporated Pinellas: Pinellas County Code Enforcement Division. Other cities run their own desks.
Agent Filing Rules
We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch
We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.
Every submission is checked against the Clearwater code, including Community Development Code, Article 3, Division 15, Property Maintenance Standards. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.
Issues Clearwater highlights: inoperative or unregistered vehicles, overgrown grass and weeds over 12 inches, boat and trailer parking, and illegal and political signs.
FL SB 60
Why It Matters
SB 60 DID NOT END CLEARWATER COMPLAINTS
Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Clearwater Code Compliance and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.
Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.
See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS
Who handles code enforcement in Clearwater?
The City of Clearwater Code Compliance Division, part of the Planning & Development Department. Call (727) 562-4720. Online, use Clearwater Connect.
Is my address Clearwater or Pinellas County?
Clearwater handles addresses inside its city limits. Unincorporated Pinellas goes to Pinellas County Code Enforcement Division at (727) 464-4761. A Clearwater mailing address is not always inside the city.
Where can I park a boat or trailer at my house in Clearwater?
Boats over 20 feet and trailers over 25 feet may not be parked in front of the front building line or in the right-of-way; larger ones must be kept behind the front building line screened by a six-foot solid fence (CDC Section 3-1407).
Can I report a code violation in Clearwater anonymously?
Not to the city. Clearwater says: “Per Florida Statute 162.21, any person who submits a code violation report must provide his or her name and address.” SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.
What happens if a violation is not fixed?
Unresolved Clearwater code cases go before a Code Enforcement Board or a Special Magistrate. The Municipal Code Enforcement Board meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave.
Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
