Wellington code enforcement complaints

Village desk. Not Palm Beach County.

Inside village limits, Wellington code complaints go to the Village’s Code Compliance Division.

SNITCH is a private filing service, not the Village. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.

Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Wellington Code Compliance under our name.

Fear of Retaliation

Wellington puts it this way: “Individuals wishing to submit a complaint are required to provide their name and address.” File it yourself and that record is public under Chapter 119.

Who Handles It

Inside Wellington: Wellington Code Compliance. Unincorporated Palm Beach: Palm Beach County Code Compliance Division. Other cities run their own desks.

Agent Filing Rules

We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

How It Works

Address first. Wellington or Palm Beach County second. Then we file.
How This Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch

We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

Village code. Not a grudge.

Every submission is checked against the Wellington code, including Chapter 2, Article IV, Code Compliance. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.

Issues Wellington highlights: foreclosure and vacant property registry, livestock waste (manure bin) storage inspections, water restrictions, and rental notice requirements for landlords.

FL SB 60

Why It Matters

SB 60 DID NOT END WELLINGTON COMPLAINTS

Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Wellington Code Compliance and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.

Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.

See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS

Who handles code enforcement in Wellington?

The Village of Wellington Code Compliance Division. Call (561) 753-2560. Online, use GoWellington. Email: code@wellingtonfl.gov.

Is my address Wellington or Palm Beach County?

Wellington handles addresses inside its village limits. Unincorporated Palm Beach goes to Palm Beach County Code Compliance Division at (561) 233-5500. A Wellington mailing address is not always inside the village.

How do I look up a Wellington code violation?

Use Code Compliance View on the Village’s website.

Does my landlord in Wellington have to give notice before raising rent?

Yes. Under Palm Beach County Ordinance 14-81, effective Sept. 13, 2022, landlords must give tenants 60 days' written notice before increasing rent by more than 5% or ending or not renewing a lease. Wellington Code Compliance takes reports at code@wellingtonfl.gov or (561) 753-2560.

Can I report a code violation in Wellington anonymously?

Not to the village. Wellington says: “Individuals wishing to submit a complaint are required to provide their name and address.” SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.

What happens if a violation is not fixed?

Unresolved Wellington code cases go before a Special Magistrate. Code cases go before a Special Magistrate (attorneys appointed by the Village); agendas and meeting details are posted on Wellington's Legistar site.

Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
