Boca Raton code enforcement complaints

City desk. Not Palm Beach County.

Inside city limits, Boca Raton code complaints go to the City’s Code Enforcement in Development Services.

SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.

Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Boca Raton Code Enforcement under our name.

Fear of Retaliation

File direct with Boca Raton Code Enforcement and Florida law puts your name and address on the complaint. That record is public under Chapter 119.

Who Handles It

Inside Boca Raton: Boca Raton Code Enforcement. Unincorporated Palm Beach: Palm Beach County Code Compliance Division. Other cities run their own desks.

Agent Filing Rules

We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

How It Works

Address first. Boca Raton or Palm Beach County second. Then we file.
How This Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch

We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.

Every submission is checked against the Boca Raton code, including Chapter 10, Nuisances. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.

Issues Boca Raton highlights: recreational vehicle and boat screening, grass over 8 inches, garage sale permits, and trash set out too early.

FL SB 60

Why It Matters

SB 60 DID NOT END BOCA RATON COMPLAINTS

Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Boca Raton Code Enforcement and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.

Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.

See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS

Who handles code enforcement in Boca Raton?

The City of Boca Raton Code Enforcement, part of Development Services. Call (561) 393-7934. Online, use Report a Concern.

Is my address Boca Raton or Palm Beach County?

Boca Raton handles addresses inside its city limits. Unincorporated Palm Beach goes to Palm Beach County Code Compliance Division at (561) 233-5500. A Boca Raton mailing address is not always inside the city.

Where can I park a boat or RV at my home in Boca Raton?

Recreational vehicles such as RVs, boats and trailers must be in a permitted garage or carport, or in the side or rear yard screened from off-premises view by a fence, wall or hedge (Sec. 28-1507, $50 fine). Parking on the lawn is not permitted.

Can I report a code violation in Boca Raton anonymously?

Not to the city. Since July 2021, Florida law requires a complainant’s name and address before most code investigations. SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.

What happens if a violation is not fixed?

Unresolved Boca Raton code cases go before a Special Magistrate. Special Magistrate code hearings are held at 1:30 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 201 W. Palmetto Park Road.

Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
