Orlando code enforcement complaints

City limits. Not Orange County.

Inside Orlando city limits, code complaints go to the City’s Code Enforcement Division in the Economic Development Department.

SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.

Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Orlando Code Enforcement under our name.

Fear of Retaliation

Orlando says it cannot investigate a code report without the reporter’s name and address. File it yourself and that record is public under Chapter 119.

Who Handles It

Inside Orlando city limits: the City’s Code Enforcement Division. Outside city limits: Orange County Code Compliance through 311. Other incorporated cities run their own desks.

Agent Filing Rules

We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

How It Works

Address first. Orlando or Orange County second. Then we file.
How This Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch

We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.

Every submission is checked against the Orlando City Code, including Chapter 14, the Property Maintenance Code. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.

The City’s own guide covers overgrown lots, stagnant water, inoperable vehicles, parking on the grass, and signs in the right-of-way.

FL SB 60

Why It Matters

SB 60 DID NOT END ORLANDO COMPLAINTS

Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start, and Orlando enforces it. File direct and that name is public. SNITCH files with the City as complainant of record.

Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.

See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS

Who handles code enforcement in Orlando?

The City of Orlando Code Enforcement Division, part of the Economic Development Department, at 407.246.2686 or codeenforcement@orlando.gov. The City takes reports online through its code enforcement portal.

How do I look up an Orlando code enforcement case?

Use the City’s Look Up Code Enforcement Cases and Liens tool on orlando.gov. Search by incident number or address.

Is my address Orlando or Orange County?

The City handles addresses inside Orlando city limits. Outside them, Orange County Code Compliance takes complaints through 311 or (407) 836-3111.

Can I report a code violation in Orlando anonymously?

Not to the city. The City says it cannot investigate a code violation report without the reporter’s name and address. SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.

What happens if a violation is not fixed?

Orlando code cases go before the Code Enforcement Board, a quasi-judicial board set up under Florida Statutes Chapter 162 and City Code Chapter 5.

Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
