Apopka code enforcement complaints

City desk. Not Orange County.

Inside city limits, Apopka code complaints go to the City’s Code Enforcement Section in the Building-Safety Department.

SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.

Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Apopka Code Enforcement under our name.

Fear of Retaliation

File direct with Apopka Code Enforcement and Florida law puts your name and address on the complaint. That record is public under Chapter 119.

Who Handles It

Inside Apopka: Apopka Code Enforcement. Unincorporated Orange: Orange County Code Compliance. Other cities run their own desks.

Agent Filing Rules

We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

How It Works

Address first. Apopka or Orange County second. Then we file.
How This Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch

We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.

Every submission is checked against the Apopka code, including Chapter 2, Article VIII, Code Enforcement. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.

Issues Apopka highlights: overgrown property over 12 inches, boat, trailer and RV storage on rear of lot, commercial vehicles in residential districts, and garage sale permits (two per year).

FL SB 60

Why It Matters

SB 60 DID NOT END APOPKA COMPLAINTS

Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Apopka Code Enforcement and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.

Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.

See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS

Who handles code enforcement in Apopka?

The City of Apopka Code Enforcement Section, part of the Building-Safety Department. Call (407) 703-1738. Online, use Apopka Comcate (online code enforcement requests).

Is my address Apopka or Orange County?

Apopka handles addresses inside its city limits. Unincorporated Orange goes to Orange County Code Compliance at 311 or (407) 836-3111. A Apopka mailing address is not always inside the city.

Can I park my boat or RV in my driveway in Apopka?

Boats, boat trailers and RVs must be stored on the rear half of a residential lot; one may be parked in the front driveway for up to 72 hours for loading or unloading.

Can I report a code violation in Apopka anonymously?

Not to the city. Since July 2021, Florida law requires a complainant’s name and address before most code investigations. SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.

What happens if a violation is not fixed?

Unresolved Apopka code cases go before a Special Magistrate. Code enforcement hearings are scheduled every other month on the 3rd Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 120 E. Main St.

Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
