Hialeah code enforcement complaints

City desk. Not Miami-Dade County.

Inside city limits, Hialeah code complaints go to the City’s Code Compliance Division in Community Development.

SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.

Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Hialeah Code Compliance under our name.

Fear of Retaliation

Hialeah puts it this way: “Complainants must provide their name and address to the local government before an investigation can proceed.” File it yourself and that record is public under Chapter 119.

Who Handles It

Inside Hialeah: Hialeah Code Compliance. Unincorporated Miami-Dade: Miami-Dade County Neighborhood Regulations Division. Other cities run their own desks.

Agent Filing Rules

We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

How It Works

Address first. Hialeah or Miami-Dade County second. Then we file.
How This Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch

We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.

Every submission is checked against the Hialeah code, including Chapter 22, Code Enforcement. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.

Issues Hialeah highlights: illegal units, overgrown weeds, grass, trees and shrubs, building without a permit, and foreclosure registry program.

FL SB 60

Why It Matters

SB 60 DID NOT END HIALEAH COMPLAINTS

Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Hialeah Code Compliance and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.

Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.

See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS

Who handles code enforcement in Hialeah?

The City of Hialeah Code Compliance Division, part of Community Development. Call (305) 883-5832. Online, use Report an Issue. Email: codecompliance@hialeahfl.gov.

Is my address Hialeah or Miami-Dade County?

Hialeah handles addresses inside its city limits. Unincorporated Miami-Dade goes to Miami-Dade County Neighborhood Regulations Division at (786) 315-2552. A Hialeah mailing address is not always inside the city.

How do I appeal a Hialeah code violation?

File a Request for Administrative Hearing Appeal within 15 days of the notice of violation (20 days if it was mailed) to have the case heard by the Special Magistrate. Requests can be made in person, by mail, or by email to codecompliance@hialeahfl.gov.

Can I report a code violation in Hialeah anonymously?

Not to the city. Hialeah says: “Complainants must provide their name and address to the local government before an investigation can proceed.” SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.

What happens if a violation is not fixed?

Unresolved Hialeah code cases go before a Special Magistrate. Special Magistrate (Special Master) administrative hearings are held at least once a month at 501 Palm Ave. (President Donald J. Trump Ave.), with agendas posted in the Agenda Center.

Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
