Estero code enforcement complaints

Village desk. Not Lee County.

Inside village limits, Estero code complaints go to the Village’s Code Compliance in Community Development.

SNITCH is a private filing service, not the Village. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.

Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Estero Code Compliance under our name.

Fear of Retaliation

Estero puts it this way: “A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide his or her name and address to the respective local government before an investigation may occur.” File it yourself and that record is public under Chapter 119.

Who Handles It

Inside Estero: Estero Code Compliance. Unincorporated Lee: Lee County Code Enforcement. Other cities run their own desks.

Agent Filing Rules

We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

How It Works

Address first. Estero or Lee County second. Then we file.
How This Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch

We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

Village code. Not a grudge.

Every submission is checked against the Estero code, including Chapter 1, Article II, Code Compliance. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.

Issues Estero highlights: overgrown grass and lot mowing, inoperable, unlicensed and abandoned vehicles, building without a permit, and signs in the right-of-way.

FL SB 60

Why It Matters

SB 60 DID NOT END ESTERO COMPLAINTS

Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Estero Code Compliance and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.

Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.

See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS

Who handles code enforcement in Estero?

The Village of Estero Code Compliance, part of Community Development. Call (239) 319-2815. Online, use Code Compliance Form. Email: enforcement@estero-fl.gov.

Is my address Estero or Lee County?

Estero handles addresses inside its village limits. Unincorporated Lee goes to Lee County Code Enforcement at (239) 533-8895. A Estero mailing address is not always inside the village.

Who handles noise or barking dog complaints in Estero?

Not Village Code Compliance: noise goes to the Lee County Sheriff's Office (239-477-1000) and dog issues to Lee County Domestic Animal Services (239-533-7387).

Can I report a code violation in Estero anonymously?

Not to the village. Estero says: “A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide his or her name and address to the respective local government before an investigation may occur.” SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.

What happens if a violation is not fixed?

Unresolved Estero code cases go before a Special Magistrate. Code cases have been heard by a Special Magistrate since August 2016; no regular schedule is posted.

Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
