Temple Terrace code enforcement complaints
City desk. Not Hillsborough County.
Inside city limits, Temple Terrace code complaints go to the City’s Code Compliance Department.
SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.
Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Temple Terrace Code Compliance under our name.
Fear of Retaliation
File direct with Temple Terrace Code Compliance and Florida law puts your name and address on the complaint. That record is public under Chapter 119.
Who Handles It
Inside Temple Terrace: Temple Terrace Code Compliance. Unincorporated Hillsborough: Hillsborough County Code Enforcement. Other cities run their own desks.
Agent Filing Rules
We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.
How It Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch
We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.
Every submission is checked against the Temple Terrace code, including Chapter 8, Buildings and Fire Prevention (Housing Code; Commercial Property Maintenance). Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.
Issues Temple Terrace highlights: short-term rental registration and Certificate of Use, minimum housing code, commercial property violations, and golf cart use.
FL SB 60
Why It Matters
SB 60 DID NOT END TEMPLE TERRACE COMPLAINTS
Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Temple Terrace Code Compliance and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.
Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.
See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS
Who handles code enforcement in Temple Terrace?
The City of Temple Terrace Code Compliance Department. Call (813) 506-6680. Online, use Temple Terrace In-Touch App (Report a City Issue). Email: codecompliance@templeterrace.gov.
Is my address Temple Terrace or Hillsborough County?
Temple Terrace handles addresses inside its city limits. Unincorporated Hillsborough goes to Hillsborough County Code Enforcement at (813) 274-6600. A Temple Terrace mailing address is not always inside the city.
Do I need to register a short-term rental in Temple Terrace?
Yes. Owners must register their short-term rental with the city and keep a valid Certificate of Use, renewed annually, with fire department life-safety inspections before approval and every two years after.
Can I report a code violation in Temple Terrace anonymously?
Not to the city. Since July 2021, Florida law requires a complainant’s name and address before most code investigations. SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.
What happens if a violation is not fixed?
Unresolved Temple Terrace code cases go before the Code Enforcement Board. The Municipal Code Enforcement Board meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
