Plant City code enforcement complaints
City desk. Not Hillsborough County.
Inside city limits, Plant City code complaints go to the City’s Code Enforcement Division.
SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.
Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Plant City Code Enforcement under our name.
Fear of Retaliation
File direct with Plant City Code Enforcement and Florida law puts your name and address on the complaint. That record is public under Chapter 119.
Who Handles It
Inside Plant City: Plant City Code Enforcement. Unincorporated Hillsborough: Hillsborough County Code Enforcement. Other cities run their own desks.
Agent Filing Rules
We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.
How It Works

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch
We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.
Every submission is checked against the Plant City code, including Chapter 30, Environment (public nuisances, garbage/refuse, inoperable or wrecked motor vehicles). Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.
Issues Plant City highlights: overgrown vegetation and lot maintenance, untagged or inoperable vehicles, mold, and signs.
FL SB 60
Why It Matters
SB 60 DID NOT END PLANT CITY COMPLAINTS
Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Plant City Code Enforcement and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.
Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.
See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS
Who handles code enforcement in Plant City?
The City of Plant City Code Enforcement Division. Call (813) 659-4289. Online, use Report Code Violation (MaintStar portal). Email: codeenforcement@plantcitygov.com.
Is my address Plant City or Hillsborough County?
Plant City handles addresses inside its city limits. Unincorporated Hillsborough goes to Hillsborough County Code Enforcement at (813) 274-6600. A Plant City mailing address is not always inside the city.
In Plant City, who is responsible for a code violation at a rental, the tenant or the owner?
The city says the tenant is responsible for things under their control such as trash, debris, untagged vehicles and cleanliness, while the owner is responsible for structural or maintenance issues.
Can I report a code violation in Plant City anonymously?
Not to the city. Since July 2021, Florida law requires a complainant’s name and address before most code investigations. SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.
What happens if a violation is not fixed?
Unresolved Plant City code cases go before the Code Enforcement Board. Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 302 W. Reynolds St.
Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
