Miramar code enforcement complaints
City desk. Not Broward County.
Inside city limits, Miramar code complaints go to the City’s Code Compliance Division in the Miramar Police Department.
SNITCH is a private filing service, not the City. We file as complainant of record. Your name stays off the complaint.
Compliant with Florida SB 60.
Filed with Miramar Code Compliance under our name.
Fear of Retaliation
Miramar puts it this way: “A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide his or her name and address to the respective local government before an enforcement proceeding may occur.” File it yourself and that record is public under Chapter 119.
Who Handles It
Inside Miramar: Miramar Code Compliance. Unincorporated Broward: Broward County Code Compliance. Other cities run their own desks.
Agent Filing Rules
We file under our name with the desk that owns the address. If that shop bounces a third-party complainant, that filing does not sit there.

"SNITCH cuts through red tape—handling your code complaints professionally, safely, and always in compliance with Florida law.
- Chaz Stevens, Chief Snitch
We file the real ones.
We reject the rest.

City code. Not a grudge.
Every submission is checked against the Miramar code, including Chapter 10, Health, Sanitation and Nuisances. Hearsay, neighbor wars, and junk filings do not go out. A false complaint is on the client.
Issues Miramar highlights: commercial vehicles and food trucks at homes, home-based business advertising, short-term rental registration, and vacant home registry.
FL SB 60
Why It Matters
SB 60 DID NOT END MIRAMAR COMPLAINTS
Florida law requires a name and address before most code investigations start. File direct with Miramar Code Compliance and that name is public. SNITCH files as complainant of record.
Compliant filing. Our name on the paper.
See something. File it without becoming the file.

FAQS
Who handles code enforcement in Miramar?
The City of Miramar Code Compliance Division, part of the Miramar Police Department. Call (954) 602-3174. Online, use Gov-Easy code complaint portal. Email: codecompliance@miramarpd.org.
Is my address Miramar or Broward County?
Miramar handles addresses inside its city limits. Unincorporated Broward goes to Broward County Code Compliance at 311 or (954) 831-4000. A Miramar mailing address is not always inside the city.
Can I keep a food truck or work trailer at my house in Miramar?
No. The City says commercial vehicles such as food trucks, lawn care trailers or pool cleaning services are not permitted to be stored on residentially zoned properties.
Can I report a code violation in Miramar anonymously?
Not to the city. Miramar says: “A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide his or her name and address to the respective local government before an enforcement proceeding may occur.” SNITCH is not anonymous either: we file under our own name as complainant of record, so yours stays off the complaint.
What happens if a violation is not fixed?
Unresolved Miramar code cases go before a Special Magistrate. Cases go either to a Special Magistrate hearing or an administrative civil-violation process in which daily fines run up to 20 days unless the violator requests a hearing.
Is my name on the complaint? What if a desk will not take an agent filing? Our FAQs answer both.
